ANTEA 2

ANTEA 2 is a performance wing designed for advanced pilots and XC or competition flights.

Typical SKY handling will help pilots to «feel the air». ANTEA 2 also provides a high climbing rate when thermalling.

ANTEA 2 provides new technological solutions (e.g. ADIPRENE reinforcements, competition lines, new high speed profile), and it still keeps its forgiving behaviour and light weight.

The Main Distinctive Features:

  • High glide ratio feeling.
  • Excellent glide ratio at max. speed.
  • Intuitive and usable performance.
  • Intuitive behaviour in rough air.
  • Max speed 57 km/h.
  • Glide ratio 9.5 (+/- 0.3).
  • Tested overloaded + 25 kg in M, L sizes and +15 kg in XL size for paramotoring.

R&D Team Comments

The goal was to produce a glider which could perform on the top of C categories while preserving Sky Paragliders touch with a reasonable aspect ratio and without using any trendy solutions.

Own colours

Customise the colours of your SKY glider


To design your own glider use the tool below. When you have decided on your own unique colour scheme COPY the name of glider and colours picked (for example: Antea 2: Gold / Red Dragon / Deep Blue) into your order. ANY colour combination is available.

Gliders with personalised colours are available only at extra cost. The delivery time depends on the load of the workshop and may vary depending.

Materials

Canopy

The canopy is made out of the material DOKDO produced by South Korean textile factory Dominico Textiles. To reach the high quality and increase the durability of the canopy, we combine several material and coatings.
The upper panel are made of DOKDO-N20 DMF (WR), 36 grams per square meter.
Profiles are made of DOKDO-N30 DFM and the panels for the leading edge are made of DOKDO-N20 DMF (WR), 38 grams per square meter.

The material is made of Nylon 6.6 fibres (PA fibres) produced by Du Pont. The weaving pattern is the so called RipStop structure.

Line scheme

The lines on the ANTEA 2 are of the highest quality and are supplied by the German firm EDELRID and LIROS. These lines have high resistance from mechanical abrasion as well as a high degree of length stability.

For the upper cascade we used ELDERID 7000–080 lines. These lines are 0.75 millimetre in diameter. The lower lines are manufactured out of PPSL 200, 160 a 120 (Liros) and main brake line are from EDELRID 7850–200.

Risers

The risers are made from 13 mm wide webbing, it is manufactured by our supplier MOUKA TIŠNOV. The suspension lines are connected to the risers by means of quick links (maillons) from the French supplier Maillon Rapide.
